IK4

IK4 Research Alliance is an association of research centres created in the Basque Country in December 2004 to address the need for a qualitative push in research, development and innovation and at the same time contribute to building the innovative and competitive capital of Basque companies. The Alliance comprises the following technology centres: Ceit, Cidetec, Gaiker, Ideko, Ikerlan, Tekniker and Vicomtech, with Leia, the technology centre of Alava, currently joining the alliance. Together, they represent over 1,000 professionals, with a 2007 turnover of €85 M, and investments of approximately €23 M. The IK4 Alliance partner centres are present in all of the Basque technology parks, as well as the Garaia technology centre in Mondragón and the future Erisono technology centre in Eibar, soon to be the home of Tekniker.
