GEDESTUR (Tractor Programme)

The objectives of GEDESTUR (Tourism Destination Management) are:

1) To design a system of common sustainability indicators for tourism destination management in Menorca, Andalusia nd the Basque Country. The sustainability indicator system could be used for any tourism destination (creation of standards).

2) To develop and implement a technological platform for the comprehensive management of a destination which could be used by agencies with responsibility in the destination.

3) To design a tourism planning methodology based on the principles of economic, cultural, social and environmental sustainability that will be useful for DMOs in rating consolidated destinations and for the enhancement of new spaces.
