eTourgune2 (Etortek Programme - eTurismo in the knowledge society)

Along with studies on future emerging technologies, eTourgune2 is advancing its research activities to include notions of cognitive and social technologies in defining and structuring new products and services. These activities place a greater focus on users and the public. This opens up new areas of research associated with the development of interfaces, interactive systems for multimedia presentations and collaborative work tools that foster a larger, more social, interactive and participatory multi-platform technology base for tourism. eTourgune2 unites efforts to create a space for research in eTourism, with direct economic impact on the activities of stakeholders in the development of the Basque tourism sector. The project also expands on the complex interrelations needed to make products and services available, and on the social impact of the new mobility patterns that have profoundly changed the value chains of the different tourism subsectors.

Given the complexity of the interactions between systems that should be integrated, eTourgune2 will support the search for more complex, better distributed and more flexible models of information organisation.
