Another CICtourGUNE researcher culminates his PhD with Summa Cum Laude.

Carlos Lamsfus, senior researcher at CICtourGUNE, presented his PhD dissertation (European Mention) last October 29th at the University of Deusto in Bilbao.

The dissertation, entitled “CONCERT: A New Framework for Contextual Computing in Tourism to Support Human Mobility”, was supervised by Aurkene Alzua-Sorzabal, PhD, Executive Director at CICtourGUNE and Dr. Diego Lz. de Ipiña Glz. de Artaza, Researcher and Lecturer at University of Deusto. The Board of Examiners was chaired by Prof. Dr. José Ramón Casar, Professor at the Telecommunication Engineering School, Politechnics University of Madrid. The rest of the members of the Board were Prof. Dr. Karl Wöber, President of the Modul University in Vienna; Dr. José Bravo, Associate Professor at University of Castilla La Mancha; Dr. Begoña Arrue, Associate Professor at University of Sevilla and Dr. Iñaki Vázquez, Researcher and Lecturer at University of Deusto.

At the end of the viva, the Board of Examiners gave the candidate the maximum qualification.
