Perspectives on European Migration and Mobilities International Workshop

Organized by University of Sunderland in collaboration with the North East Strategic Migration Partnership and with the suport of European Comision through European Social Fund, CICtourGUNE and Fachhochshule Westküste, the work shop will take place in Sunderland (UK) - National Glass Centre, Small Riverside Suite - on March 21 2012.

 

In collaboration with the North East Strategic Migration Partnership the University is analysing the changes to the population through migration and supporting efforts to harness the opportunities and benefits from inward migration by developing and piloting innovative ways of matching the skills of students and migrant workers with the needs of regional employers.

In this context, this interdisciplinary workshop will analyse the political and theoretical perspectives on human mobility, looking at different perspectives analysing mobility, such as Tourism, (highly skilled) Migration and Erasmus mobility.
